This non-sanctioned tournament was played at Bruce Park and Bayberry on Saturday May 3 and Sunday May 4. Singles were played in four blocks of four players each. Winners and runners-up from the upper two blocks then faced off in single-elimination ladders, as did those from the lower two blocks. In the upper block finals, Dave Hull defeated Bill Campbell. In the lower block finals, Tina Theurkauf defeated Chris Fey.
Eighteen players also played high-low doubles with bisques. Marjorie Campbell and Chris Fey defeated Dave Hull and Barbara Brickman in the doubles finals.
Marjorie and Bill Campbell also hosted a cook-out Saturday evening for the players, serving broiled chicken and baked potatoes, expertly cooked by Bill on his new stainless-steel barbecue.
Our Tournament Director, Bob Kroeger, also conducted a successful two-day training flight for three participants.
